LGBTQ-Affirming Therapy
As queer, femme, LGBTQ-affirming therapist, my goal is to create a space where you feel seen, heard, and respected exactly as you are. Whether you’re exploring your sexual or gender identity, navigating a transition, or seeking support as a family member, having a safe and affirming space to talk is essential.
You can expect therapy to be delivered with professionalism, experience, and a deep commitment to supporting your unique identity. I use she/her pronouns
What is Affirmative Therapy?
Affirmative therapy is an approach that views all sexual and gender identities as equally valid. It fosters a positive, strengths-based perspective on Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, and Queer (LGBTQ) identities while addressing the harmful impact of homophobia, transphobia, and heterosexism on LGBTQ individuals. The aim is to empower clients to embrace their authentic selves, while acknowledging and working through the external challenges that may arise due to societal discrimination.

How I Can Help
If you’re in the process of exploring your gender identity or transitioning, I’m here to provide support at every step. Following the WPATH Standards of Care, I offer guidance as you navigate decisions, explore options, and move toward your “true you.” I can also assist with referrals to LGBTQ+ affirming medical professionals, such as endocrinologists, and provide letters of support needed for your transition. Whether you’re just starting your journey or seeking ongoing support, I’m here to walk alongside you.
Gender-Affirming Letter Writing
If you’re ready to begin gender-affirming hormone therapy or pursue gender-affirming surgery, I can help navigate the paperwork and requirements associated with these processes. I understand that this journey can be both exciting and, at times, overwhelming, and I’m here to support you every step of the way.
As part of your therapy, I offer letter-writing services to assist in meeting the medical and legal requirements for your transition. We’ll work together to discuss your gender identity journey and mental health history, and I’ll collaborate with you to craft a letter that you can present to your medical team. My goal is to ensure this process is as smooth and affirming as possible, helping you move forward with confidence.
